I’ve done odd babysitting jobs pretty much all of my teenage years. I have lots of nieces and nephews as well that I’m used to caring for. For the past year I’ve been with a family of 5 (3 children), and I have past experience working with daycares and special needs children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
In the past I’ve always loved to paint, read, and go to libraries and parks with the kids. Sometimes I will help them with a craft or teach them to bake. I’m a big fan of all art mediums so anything that helps them tap into their creative side is what I like to do best.
My experience with special needs children...
I’ve had lots of experience with special needs children. My nephew and cousin both have special needs and I have taken care of them both several times throughout my life. For a few years I did an internship at Horizon school in Saratoga Springs, Utah. There I worked as a teacher’s aide for low functioning children. I worked as a Behavior Technician for some time with children on the autism spectrum. I have such a deep, patient love for special needs children.
