A little bit about me

I am a student at the University of Florida. Following school, I will be employed by the U.S. Air Force as a dentist while getting my schooling payed for. I have light babysitting experience — however I have babysat. My cousins are younger than me and so I am used to being a care taker and leader. I am bi-lingual, I can help with school, I can cook/clean, and I can drive. I’m looking to run the NYC Marathon in November of 2022. For this reason, I need to raise $3500 for team Project Purple in support of pancreatic cancer. Any money that I do not raise will be out of pocket. I figured since I am good with kids, responsible, a strong communicator, and need a flexible job with school— that being a nanny would be a good fit. I am CPR certified and volunteered at Winnie Palmer Hospital in the NICU caring for newborns struggling with neonatal abstinence syndrome. For this reason, I feel well equipped to care for the younger ones. Thank you for reading this!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is being a good communicator— that means being honest and open when mistakes or accidents happen. Accountability is important. To me this means, being on time, being consistent, and taking responsibility for our work. Lastly, kindness and respect are extremely important. Kids are impressionable young people. They are observed of verbal and non-verbal behavior and they learn by example. It’s important to be respectful, kind, and a great example.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The mom would always buy us a ham & pineapple pizza from Hungry Bowie’s so I did not have to cook dinner. I always looked forward to it and it was very kind of her. We watched movies, played games, & ate pizza— how could it get any better?

Faith R. - Seeking Work in Gainesville

Babysitter Available in Gainesville, FL: Faith R.

Hi! My name is Faith, and I have a lot of experience caring for children. I come from a big family with 10 siblings, so I have been around kids my entire life. Growing up, I helped take care of my younger siblings and especially my younger brother, which taught me responsibility, patience, and how to handle different situations with children of all ages.

I am currently a college student at Santa Fe College and have learned how to balance school, work, and responsibilities. I am dependable, hardworking, and caring. I enjoy spending time with children, helping with activities, playing games, assisting with homework, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable.

I understand the importance of being a positive role model and creating a fun, safe environment for kids. Parents can count on me to be responsible, trustworthy, and attentive to their children’s needs. I genuinely enjoy working with children and would love the opportunity to help care for your family.
