More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My current position, working as a teacher, has given me many responsibilities. Including planning and preparing lessons that are clear and engaging for all of my 17 students, evaluating students performance, providing feedback, and tracking my students growth. I always guide and mentor all of my students, and I encourage teamwork in my classroom. Lastly, I collaborate with all of the caregivers with constant communication, behavior, and any concern I may see or hear.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Activities I love doing with children are craft, but I also enjoy teaching letters, numbers, days, shapes, colors, various common words and phrases, etc. In Spanish, but also in sign language!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is understanding the child’s needs.

Example: (5 year old child crying) “I see you are feeling sad, do you need a hug? Maybe we should take some breathers? To calm our bodies, and make us feel better!”

My experience with special needs children...

I worked in an inclusion classroom of 19 students, with 12 students having disabilities and 7 peers. As well as I attend to each child with any personal, physical, academic, and most importantly emotional needs, and comfort nonverbal children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Was having the opportunity to teach a little girl who was just 3 years old her alphabet in Spanish/sign language, and seeing the results at the end was amazing!
