I was caring for two siblings, a younger boy and an older girl. The girl was having a really tough time adjusting to a new school and was feeling left out because she hadn't made any friends yet. One afternoon, I suggested we make friendship bracelets to give to her classmates. We spent hours picking out colors, braiding the strings, and talking about what makes a good friend. The next day, she took the bracelets to school, and it turned out to be a huge hit! She came home beaming, telling me all about the new friends she had made and how much they loved the bracelets. It was so heartwarming to see her confidence grow and realize that sometimes, a simple act of kindness can make a big difference in a child's life.
