My experience with special needs children...
My first job at 16 I worked with an autistic child she was 2. she was so sweet she was non verbal and I was very patient with her, I’m patient with all the kids I work with. At my second job I worked with a 4 year old autistic boy and he could throw tantrums sometimes or he wouldn’t listen and I sit and talk with him he could talk a little bit. I’ve baby sat for a family with 2 autistic children one was non verbal and the other was talkative I really enjoyed myself we all played together. It’s all about patience and reading in between the lines. I’ve recently quit my job and there were 2 boys on the spectrum. One of them was non verbal the other could talk but only when he felt like it. The non verbal boy would put spit on the windows but if we told him to have a seat he’d listen. The boy who could talk a little would hit sometimes if he didn’t get his way. You just have to be patient with children on the spectrum.

When I walked past my old job and 2 kids remembered me it really made me feel like I’m doing something good in life.
