Girl Scouts provided me with the opportunity to earn a babysitting badge and obtain my CPR license. Being the second oldest of eight children, I have extensive experience in caring for young children. My experience in childcare began in fifth grade and has continued with my own one-year-old son and one-month-old niece while my sister was at work. I am well-versed in the needs and behaviors of children and find them to be delightful and unpredictable

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Playdough, a timeless classic, can be enjoyed by all ages. Build an indoor obstacle course for kids with excess energy. Create a seasonal sensory bin to enhance fine motor and language skills in preschoolers and kindergartners. Complete puzzles together for a sense of accomplishment. As a nanny, the most important part of the job is to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment that allows children to flourish, while also providing them with the necessary tools and resources to develop their social, emotional, and cognitive skills.

My experience with special needs children...

Although my experience working with children with special needs is not extensive, I have been exposed to caring for individuals with special needs through my upbringing. My parents cared for special needs adults in our household, and I have two cousins who have autism and schizophrenia, respectively. I have babysat for them on numerous occasions and am aware of their boundaries and preferences.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My most cherished experience as a nanny was when I had to leave my previous employment due to pregnancy, and the children, ages 5 and 7, took the time to create handmade cards and gifts for my newborn son. This touching gesture will always hold a special place in my heart.
