Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a lead teacher at Valley childcare in the potty training room (2-3years old) and an assistant teacher in a three year old room at Starting Blocks Preschool. I have been a live in nanny for my family and a regular nanny for others. I was in charge of getting them from school, to and from appointments/activities, cleaning, and meal prep for the entire family.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love spending time outside with children! Taking walks to the park, swimming (if parents are comfortable with it) In the summer months if I can’t take them in the pool I love doing arts and crafts/projects with them. If screen time is allowed I love playing “movie theater”, building a fort or pallet on the ground and all watch a movie together with popcorn/snacks!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Love the kids in the way that the parents do. Each family is different and I think the most important thing I can do for the kids is to abide by the parents wishes.
