More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a lifeguard at the age of 15, which I primarily watched over children in the pool and instructed swim lessons. This was where I initially was CPR/AED/First Aid ceritified.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Outdoor activities are by far my favorite! I don’t mind getting my hands dirty with children. Messy is fun! (As long as I can clean it up.) Indoor activities that are my favorite would be arts and crafts. I myself am a very artistic person.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Molding a young mind with healthy, stable, and fun activities. I wouldn’t consider myself strict, but I do believe explained time-outs with an apology afterward works best for a child to understand what was wrong and reflect on the decision they made.

My experience with special needs children...

I cared for an adult in her 20s since I was 14. More recently I had stepped up and taken care of her for more than a few hours at a time and it turned to full days of care. She was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and Epilepsy. She was immobile and nonverbal, but that didn’t stop her sense of humor from showing!
