Being someone the child, and parents, will trust. When parents have to be away, children shouldn’t feel a big disruption in their activities. The relationship should be comfortable and communication between all parties should be easy. Whether it’s the child asking for help or the parent needing more time than expected, it should be a simple request and not a hesitant action. The nanny is an extension of the family not a stranger or unwanted guest.
