A little bit about me

Hi, I'm a Certified Home Health Aide from NJ who moved to FL a couple of months ago with over 20 years of nanny experience (worked as a live in with one family 17 years while caring for the elderly while kids were at school) I'm looking for a live in nanny position but I'm willing to consider work as a live out nanny.
I cared for all ages. My most challenging job was caring for 2 infants who had different sleep schedules & different formulas...I'm really proud of that one ;-)
I have a mild temper and a lot of patience, change pampers, play, do light housekeeping, laundry, read books, assist with sensory/educational activities, follow parents instructions for bad behavior (work like there's a camera recording every move), love pets, reheat food cooked by parent or I can make simple meals, provide outdoor fun time or a nice relaxing walk, I bought a van to move to FL so I don't have the best vehicle for driving your child to activities right now. I have plans for a normal car soon.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Live in Nanny for 17 years I was around for changing pampers to hugs as they left for college. Babysat for twins once that cut my bangs and I kept my cool ;-) I can't count how many huge circles with stick arms and legs with happy faces I received over the years...hate to toot my own horn but the kids loved me @(*-*)@

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Playing! (video games, at a park, hide and go seek, peek-a-boo...all of it...except the game where the child hides and pops out of nowhere and shouts BOO!
It seems to be very popular ;)

Educational projects, nature walks, trips to a local zoo or museum, reading books or making up our own story, listening to the practice of a musical instrument, hearing about their day, providing comfort to a fussy one with a nice hug and a gentle rock while walking.
I love being a witness to all the major milestones (crawling, walking, hearing their little voice speak their first works...in my last nanny job, the youngest was taught sign language and was able to tell me he wanted more to eat without using word...that was so amazing, I loved that), introducing age appropriate musicals, being one of the people they feel comfortable confiding in if someone hurt their feelings at school or on the bus, water balloon fight on a hot day.
