More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I majored in child development, which not only included dozens of classes, seminars, training, but also hundreds of hours of onsite experience. I have nannied for many years, as well as a babysitting since I was 12. Then I had 4 of my own children, including twins. My twins graduated high school, and started college. So I now have allot of free time and would love to help care for children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love working with children, and teaching them through play. So the activities would change based on the age and interest of the child. I also take the children I watch to the park, library or different activities depending on what the parents would like them involved in.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To spend time engaging with the children, and helping them learn to navigate their world, and express their feelings and needs in a positive manner.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with different special needs, like down syndrome, autism, Asperger's, ADHD. I am willing to learn new skills, such as G-tube, Physical Therapy or other specialized care.
