A little bit about me

Hello, my name is Shawnté, I would just like to start off by saying that I love children. I am a 44 year African American woman that identifies as such (pronoun- she/her)I have ‘unofficially’ babysat my younger brother from birth til 3 yrs old while my mom worked. He also had a colostomy bag for his first 5 mos. Afterwards, I actually taught him how to use the potty and guided him through his first steps. I have also babysat for younger cousins and children of friends. I have tons of patience and treat all children with the love and care as if they were my own. I acknowledge that all children are unique in their own way and I will definitely follow any schedule that the parents has in mind while caring for their child(ren). Ex.: feeding, nap, play, or tv time. I also would not mind playing games or driving to the park, etc. depending upon the parent’s desire, request or preference.
No CPR and first aide yet, I will obtain them upon becoming a strong consideration for the position.
