Learning- if it’s a baby or toddler I focus on what milestones are within reach. Older children I like to see what they gravitate towards but art projects have always been my favorite as well as enriching their imaginations with make believe. My autistic 3 year old and I were on a walk and we found a random cheerio on the sidewalk… for some reason it made him laugh and we had to go back and look at it no less than 5 times! Got my steps in for that day and he still a year later will say “hey shayshay look cheerio” and start cackling.
