More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
• In the summer I would volunteer to help organize/execute activities for the Summer Fun Program that was provided by the Speech Counselor for elementary/high school students. These activities could be purely for fun or educational. They would be either crafting or vocational activities appropriate for their age group.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing all sorts of things with children. I’ll watch TV with them, play board games, puzzles or color. I’ll play pretend or dress up/makeup. I’ll play dolls or cars. I’ll play explorers (inside or out) or at the park or in the yard. Some kids like crafts and I love them. Some kids enjoy easy baking and I love doing that with them! I’ll read to them or they can read to me! I love to help them learn and experience and explore new things.
My experience with special needs children...
When the Summer Fun Program ended I took my autistic brother to his summer speech program and I would stay and help the teachers with the special needs children. Most of my experience is with developmental special needs children.
• I have work with children with dyslexia while volunteering for the school and my sister that I helped with her homework from elementary school well into her high school career.
• I have also have experience with autistic children because of my youngest brother. He has behavioral and sensory processing issues. He is non verbal and communicates with gestures.
• I also have experience with children that have physical disabilities. My younger brother was born with clubbed feet and when he was six years old he developed LCPD (Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease).

Hi my name is Salma I’m 20 years old and a college student at Portland Community College, I’m very experienced with kids and have been babysitting for 10 years and adore children!. If one of my family members or friend has a child they need looking after I’m first on their list to contact haha. I believe it’s because I’m very careful with kids and VERY responsible. They love me and I always consider what makes them happy :D. I’ve always been naturally good with kids which is a blessing! Yes they are hard work but I believe I’m very suitable for this role of almost second-parenting. I am sincere and patient in my duties and always do the above and beyond. If your looking for a qualified sitter, hopefully I can be that for you! If you have any questions please feel free to ask and message me!
Thank you, Salma
