A little bit about me

Hi my name is Shirley Palacios. I have been working as a nanny in Connecticut since 2006, caring for children ranging in age from birth to age 12, including a child with special needs. The first family I worked for have 4 children the eldest of whom is autistic. I typically worked an 8 hour weekday with occasional weekends and overnights. They treated me as part of their family and we remain very close today. I stopped working for them in 2010 when they moved to the U.K. but they recommended me to another family with whom I started working immediately. This new family have 2 boys and I worked with them full time until a couple of weeks ago. Both families would be very happy to provide a reference for me. I have also worked for other families in Fairfield County on an as needed basis (mostly weekend evenings or when my full time families were on vacation).
