I have worked with both children and adults with special needs. I’m experienced with autism and aspergers, as well as children with medical needs such as multiple sclerosis and cerebral palsy. My daughter was epileptic when she was little, so I know how to deal with seizure disorders.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment as a nanny is when I got to keep my beloved twin boys who were preemies. I taught them baby sign, and they were having a snack and both signed “more, please.” One of the boys decided that I was only Miss Shylah when I was wearing my glasses.. if I took them off, I was no longer me. 😂
