A little bit about me

Hello there! I'm Siani, and I come from a background of nurturing and teaching, having recently transitioned from my role as a Literature teacher at the Boys and Girls Club to offering dedicated care services. Over the past four years, I've had the joy of working with hundreds of children ranging from 5 to 18 years old. Beginning as a counselor, I steadily progressed to become a literature supervisor and eventually took on the role of a big sister/mentor to five members. My passion lies in creating lasting memories for children, and I thrive on infusing creativity into their daily activities, particularly through arts and crafts. Beyond my experience with children, I've also provided senior care as a home health aide and come from a large family, being the oldest of ten siblings. I come equipped with a car and CPR certification renewed January this year . My goal is to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for your loved ones.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Before teaching literacy at the Boys and Girls Club, I began my career as a summer counselor, where I gained valuable experience working with children. During this time, I also worked as a freelance babysitter, further honing my skills in child care.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some of the activities I enjoy include dramatic play and role play. I've learned that children are more engaged and learn better when they are having fun. This is my favorite way to introduce new concepts like behavioral skills and manners. I've also used dramatic play to make learning phonics more immersive and effective.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny, to me, is supporting the children's mental health. Ensuring they feel secure, understood, and valued is crucial for their overall well-being. I focus on creating a positive and nurturing environment where children can express their emotions freely, develop resilience, and build healthy self-esteem. This approach helps them thrive not just academically but also socially and emotionally.

My experience with special needs children...

In the last three years, I have gained extensive experience working with and teaching children across a diverse spectrum, including those with ADHD, ADD, and ODD.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is making the older children a priority. I believe it is very important for the older kids to feel seen and heard. Since I am the oldest child, I know how it makes a big difference just being there.

Danielle D. - Seeking Work in Philadelphia

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Philadelphia, PA: Danielle D.

Hi families! I’ve had a passion for childcare for as long as I can remember. From helping in my aunt’s home daycare as a child to babysitting since age 13, caring for children has always been a joyful part of my life. I truly love being a part of a child’s growth and development, and helping build confidence, motivation, and happy memories they can carry for years to come.

I’m also a proud mom of three successful adult children (26, 25, and 19), so I understand the importance of patience, encouragement, structure, and fun. I taught my younger brother how to read when I was just 10 years old, and I still enjoy creating learning moments through play, arts and crafts, storytelling, cartoons, and Disney+ movie nights.

My goal is always to create a safe, nurturing, creative, and uplifting environment where children feel supported, seen, and happy.
