More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’m currently a full time nanny for 2 children and have experience caring for kids ranging from infancy through 12 years old. I also previously worked as both a Primary and Lower Elementary Montessori assistant, which gave me a strong background in child development, independence, and creating calm, structured environments for children.
I have hands-on experience working with autistic children as well as caring for a child with Dravet syndrome. Through those experiences, I’ve become comfortable and confident supporting children with different sensory, emotional, developmental, and medical needs while adapting care to each individual child. I’m also trained (not formally certified) in caring for children who experience seizures/have epilepsy.
I’m CPR/First Aid/AED certified and experienced with meal prep, outings, developmental activities, behavior support, routines, and household organization as needed.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I really enjoy following the child’s lead with activities and getting creative based on whatever they’re currently interested in or obsessed with at the moment. Whether it’s crafts, sensory bins, imaginative play, science experiments, or something totally random, I’m always happy to jump in and support what excites them.
Reading with kids is also really important to me, and I try my best to make books and reading feel fun, comforting, and natural instead of forced. I love helping children build independence through everyday activities like helping make lunch, cleaning up, problem solving, and learning how to work through big feelings.
I’m also a big believer in letting kids learn through supported trial and error, especially outside. I love being outdoors, exploring, and giving children space to build confidence and independence while still having safety, structure, and support.

The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is creating an environment where kids feel genuinely safe, loved, understood, and comfortable being themselves. I want the children I care for to know they always have someone in their corner who will support them with patience, consistency, kindness, and healthy structure.
I also think it’s really important for parents to feel comfortable and confident leaving their children with me. Being a nanny is such a personal role, and I don’t take that trust lightly. I truly see nannying as so much more than just “watching kids” - you become part of a family’s everyday life and get to help support children as they grow into their own little people, which is honestly one of the most rewarding experiences I could possibly have.

My experience with special needs children...
I currently work closely with an autistic child and have hands-on experience helping with emotional regulation, sensory sensitivities, transitions, communication, routines, and behavior management. I’ve worked alongside recommendations from therapists and specialists to help create routines and environments that genuinely support her specific needs and help her feel safe and understood.
I also have experience caring for a child with Dravet syndrome, including monitoring behaviors, recognizing seizure activity, staying calm during medical situations, and administering seizure medication when needed. Having those experiences has taught me how important patience, consistency, adaptability, and calm energy are when caring for children with different developmental or medical needs.
I really believe every child deserves to feel understood, supported, and safe to be themselves. I always try to lead with kindness and empathy while still maintaining healthy structure and boundaries.
