A little bit about me

I’ve been caring for kids for years, starting with babysitting when I was 13. Growing up with a younger sister taught me a lot about responsibility, patience, and how to keep up with kids of different ages. I also worked at a summer camp in New Hampshire and spent time in Costa Rica working with children, which gave me experience handling all kinds of situations—whether it’s organizing activities, resolving conflicts, or making sure everyone feels safe and supported.

Beyond childcare, I’ve always been surrounded by animals. I have dogs and live on a farm, so I know how to care for pets and handle daily responsibilities that come with farm life. While I don’t have much experience working with seniors, I’m dependable, adaptable, and comfortable taking on new challenges.

Caring for others—whether kids or animals—comes naturally to me. I’m responsible, energetic, and always ready to step in and help however I can.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve been working with kids for as long as I can remember. I started babysitting when I was 13, and since then, I’ve worked at a summer camp in New Hampshire and spent time in Costa Rica working with children. Through all of these experiences, I’ve learned how to be patient, responsible, and adaptable. Whether it’s keeping kids entertained, resolving conflicts, or making sure everyone feels safe and supported, I know how to handle the ups and downs that come with caregiving. Beyond just supervising, I love engaging with kids—playing games, helping with schoolwork, or just listening to whatever stories they want to tell.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love staying active and creative when spending time with kids. Some of my favorite activities include:

Playing Soccer – Whether it’s a casual kick-around or a fun game, I love getting kids moving and involved in sports.
Making & Playing Music – Singing, playing instruments, or even making up songs together to encourage creativity and self-expression.
Outdoor Adventures – Going on nature walks, setting up scavenger hunts, or just running around outside.
Arts & Crafts – Drawing, painting, and fun DIY projects to spark imagination.
Storytelling & Reading – Reading books together or making up our own stories.
Cooking & Baking – Fun, easy recipes that kids can help with.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is recognizing the impact you have on a child’s life. Kids are constantly learning from the people around them, and as a nanny, you have the opportunity to shape their experiences in meaningful ways. Not only is it about keeping them safe—it’s about helping them grow into confident, kind, and curious individuals.

My experience with special needs children...

I have not had experience working with special needs children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments happened when I was working abroad in Costa Rica, using music to connect with the kids. There was one child who was really shy at first, barely speaking during group activities. But when I started playing music, they slowly opened up, tapping along and eventually singing with the rest of us. By the end of my time there, they were leading songs and even teaching other kids little rhythms we had practiced together.
