"Sierra is full of joy. Her two decades of experience loving, nurturing, encouraging, and leading children makes her an amazing nanny. She is FUN, funny, children connect with her pretty quickly. She is incredibly trustworthy, dependable, punctual, and communicative. Our four children (ages 9-2) have been under Sierra's care and have all flourished. She is not only an amazing caretaker, but educator and music teacher as well. She would be a HUGE asset to any family who is lucky enough to have her care for their kiddos."

"I highly recommend Sierra. Both of my children were in her Montessori-based classroom, and I am so grateful for the care, guidance, and encouragement she gave them during their time with her.
Sierra has a special ability to connect deeply with children while also helping them grow in confidence, independence, and kindness. Under her guidance, my children became stronger readers, learned valuable conflict resolution skills, and developed a genuine love of learning.
She is warm, patient, attentive, and truly cares about each child as an individual. I have no doubt she will be a tremendous blessing and asset wherever she works."

"It is my absolute pleasure to serve as a reference for Sierra. She was the nanny for our children for almost 8 years and we count her as a family member for the last 12.
Sierra is a loving, kind, and above all- patient person. Our kids love her more than I believe they love me or my wife. From infancy through toddlerhood to even school age, Sierra has the ability to nurture and guide the kids as if she were an extension of the parents. There are so many frustration points in raising kids and dealing with sleep deprived/neurotic parents such as me. Despite all the challenges the kids and the parents placed before her, she handled us all with love, grace, and the patience of a saint.
An example I love to give of how influential she has been is is the fact that both of my kids read and write far above grade level. We owe this to Sierra's dedication to reading with our kids and helping them with language and writing for hours on end.
I wish I had more space to write about her."

"I can’t recommend my dear friend highly enough as a nanny. She cared for my children when they were younger, and I trusted her completely, something every parent knows is not given lightly.
She has a natural gift with kids. She’s patient, kind, gentle, and incredibly attentive, while also bringing a calm, steady energy that children really respond to. My kids absolutely loved her, and I always felt at ease knowing they were in such capable and caring hands.
Beyond that, she’s reliable, responsible, and has years of experience working with children of all ages. I’ve also had many friends who trusted her with their kids, and they all felt the same way.
If you’re looking for someone who will truly care for your children like her own, you won’t find anyone better. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.
I would confidently recommend her to any family seeking a trustworthy, experienced, and compassionate nanny."

"Sierra was the first person, besides my mom, that I trusted to care for my girls. I would consider myself an overly cautious mom wondering if when I became a mom whether I would ever trust another person to watch my children, until I met Sierra. Her deep care for my kids was special. She treated them as if they were her own. She was patient, fun, cautious and loving. She made the time spent with them one where they explored the backyard, read books, created art and played games. She is that roll on the ground, learn through play caregiver. She became a special part of our family, and one I consider a friend even after my kids became old enough to not need a babysitter. To this day when she comes over to our house she will embrace my girls with the biggest hug because she loves them so much. Any family she works for is lucky to have her as their nanny. Doesn’t get much better then CeCe (as my girls enduringly call her)."

More About Me
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am trained in Acton and some Montessori play/learning activities and would be happy to implement this kind of learning during play time. My philosophy with children is that they are brilliant little problem solvers; with the right questions and prompting they can do anything they put their minds to!
I love outdoor play, baking days, library and bagel shop visits (this was a favorite of the last family I nannied for!), and lots of game play. If parents are willing to invest in new games, I have a list of ones I use in the classroom that are kid-approved and great for making learning fun!

The most important part about being a nanny...
Creating a delightful and fun environment, full of learning and growing, with lots of grace and room for mistakes, but also with clear strong boundaries and mutual respect between the nanny, the kids, and the parents.
My experience with special needs children...
I’ve worked with several autistic children (including administering medication and managing a strict diet). My little brother is blind so I have experience working with visually impaired kids and have some knowledge of the tools they use daily.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I absolutely LOVE the moment when I feel like I’m part of the family, and the kids vocalize that for the first time. I’ll never forget so many moments at my 7 years nanny job where the I was invited to family vacations and was told by the 6 year old that he would pay for my ticket. 😂 Two years after I stopped nannying for that family, I was babysitting them for the evening, and I told the little girl I was moving soon…. She cried in my arms for an hour. It made me so sad but it was a true testament to the good times we shared and the bond we created.
