Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Cooking, cleaning, play based communication skills, gardening, animal identification games (I try to bring Steve Irwin energy into it, kids love it), storytelling games (I have played a lot of Dungeons and Dragons and that type of storytelling/voices/imagination play can be very engaging for kids), reading with a range of voices, and many many more things.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Helping the next generation grow and have skills we were necessarily given growing up. Emotional intelligence skills and boundaries are foundational skills that weren't as well defined when I was a child in the 90's/00's and I love that theyre being taught so early on so they're really instilled in the kids. Also giving the kiddos a safe space to communicate and express themselves, I feel like that's vital for their growth.

Ive worked with families that have children at all point on the spectrum from high support needs to low, prone to sensory overload, verbal and non-verbal, seisure prone, tourettes, I've worked with feeding tubes, and administered Insulin as well. ♡
The most important part about being a nanny...
My goodness, there are so many moments to choose from! I genuinely feel like every family there is a standout moment. With my current family I'd say when I whip out a whole cast of voices for a book with lots of characters, the kids always get a giggle out of the different voices I can swap between and it also helps with their understanding of who's saying what in the story.
