More About Me

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing arts and crafts (painting, coloring, scrapbooking, making clay sculptures and friendship bracelets), playing make believe, going on walks/ to the playground, doing nature scavenger hunts, reading, simple science experiments, baking and cooking (for children old enough to do so), I also enjoy and have experience with more inclusive activities such as sensory stimulation, calm music and movement, and using picture books and cards (or any other communication device) for storytelling and other engagement.

Is supporting a child’s physical, emotional, and cognitive needs and development.

My experience with special needs children...

I spent my summers throughout high school as a special needs student companion, assisting with daily tasks and activities as well as school work. Additionally, I have younger special needs siblings of my own, being largely involved in their overall care and education.
