More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Some relevant experiences in child care that I have are Babysitting family and neighborhood friends. Volunteering at daycare and hospital centers for children, volunteering at preschools and 1st- 3rd grade classrooms in 5th grade, being a WEB leader to 6th graders in 8th grade. Coaching gymnastics in an after-school camp. babysitting for 3 years, ages 0-9. Just to name a few. There is also a lot of community and donation work that I have done since 2018.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some activities that I like doing with children are hide and seek, obstacle courses, scavenger hunts, charades, crafts such as coloring boxes, Simon Says, storytelling, building forts, making clean up a game, freeze dance, chalk on the side sidewalk, eye spy, and going to the park. These are just a few, but I do keep in mind that activities are required to be age-appropriate, so for newborns-3, I do games like peekaboo, dancing, tummy time, and sensory play, singing and talking, gentle rocking and cuddling, mirrors, books, and more!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is making sure that there are age-appropriate (And safe) activities for children to play with/do. Because we can't have a 1-month-old lying around doing nothing, instead let's have them do some tummy time and mirror play. Vise-versa too. We cant have a 9 year old doing mirror play, so lets go to the park or play hide and seek.

My experience with special needs children...

Autism, ADHD, OCD, Down syndrome, physical disabilities like diabetes, different kinds of allergies, wheelchairs, asthma, and more.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when I was cooking dinner and doing the dishes, well, holding the 4-year-old, the other baby started to take his first step towards me because he wanted to dance too.
