I currently nanny preschool children during Sunday service at my church. This past summer, I was also a camp counselor for children between the ages of 6-12.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I grew up on arts and crafts, so I love bringing that to kids of all ages. Playing games, building with Legos, and engaging in make-believe play are all essential for a child's creativity and brain development. I love being outdoors, and I want to promote any activities that get kids moving and thinking. No matter your kids' interests, I can guarantee that I can be 100% involved in getting to know more about what they like so I can be an active participant.

The most important part about being a nanny...

This is not unique to just one kid, but my favorite moment while nannying is when I discover the special interest that gets them really excited. Most of the time, I know what they're talking about, so I can encourage them to talk for as long as they want about that subject. Yet, even if I don't know, asking questions and having them explain to me why they love that special thing is such a sweet moment for me. There is something so unique about the way their face lights up when they see that someone else is engaged in something they love. Those are the moments that fill my heart with pure joy, and nothing beats that feeling.
