I just graduated with my degree in neuroscience, and am looking for a job in childcare as I am hoping to work in childhood development research, so I work in childcare for experience and education. I have worked in childcare for 6 years, as a babysitter, swim instructor, and nanny. I enjoy cooking and baking, so I am happy to meal prep for children and families, because I believe while I am paid to take care of your children, I am also a resource for families. I am happy to do light housekeeping as well. I have CPR and BLS training, and experience working with children with special needs including ADHD, ODD and autism. I would like to work as a live in nanny if at all possible due to unfortunate housing circumstances.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy sensory activities, I know how to make homemade playdough that is less messy and more fun for kiddos. It helps them with motor skills, as well as can be educational. I also like drawing and make handmade coloring pages. I also am happy to teach piano lessons, as well as tutor. I also like cooking and baking things with kiddos, safe and easy items that they can feel proud of making but are not messy or dangerous.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I want parents and kids to be happy. I want parents to have a peace of mind, there is nothing better than a parent coming home from work and their kids tell them all the fun cool stuff we did. I tend to clean and cook for families as well as seeing parents come home to a meal and a clean home and the look of relief and gratitude matters so much to me.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I would say my favorite is that I make a heart shape with my hand when I tuck my kiddos into bed, and I was tucking a 2 year old into bed and she tried to make a hand heart for me like I do for her and she said "I wub you", and thats about as good as babysitting gets, knowing that they love me and feel safe and happy with me.
