Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’m also in PALs! PALs is a program where I work with kids on a daily basis to get them to be more confident and open! It stands for peer assistance and leadership. I’m familiar with getting kids to open up to me and not just be a friend but a mentor, a leader and a good example. If your kids shy, I will find a way to be patient and open them up! If they’re confident and high energy I’ve got that too! You might see being young as something negative, for lack of experience, but it’s fresh perspective! I’m eager to learn and happy to do it.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love playing creative games that get children tired and ready for bed and aren’t too messy. I’ll will always clean up after any mess that might happen though! I love hands on crafts like drawing or more competitive ones with running or outdoors! In PALs we train and learn lots of games and activities to keep the kids busy so I’ll know how to keep them entertained.
My experience with special needs children...
My brother has Down Syndrome and several complications, I know how much patience and attention they require and I don’t take it lightly. Although if your child has special needs please let me know before so I will be prepared!
