A little bit about me

Recently just relocated to Boston after growing up In Ireland & spending 3 years in the UK.
I have predominantly been working with children in Special Educational Needs. Working in SEN ensures that I have enhanced my abilities, with a constant willingness to understand, develop and nurture. Since becoming a Teaching Assistant in an SEN school, I have gained invaluable experience, working alongside these fantastic children with complex and profound needs.
I am an incredibly ambitious and driven individual. I left my life in Ireland behind and in 2021 I moved to the UK. The move was prompted by a number of factors, I knew I wanted to act as an independent, responsible individual, so I applied to be an au pair for an incredible family in the southeast of Kent on a temporary three-month basis. In my current employment setting, I primarily work with children who have Autism. This experience has
allowed me to understand the very ways by which these individuals live in tandem with their disabilities
and how differently it can impact each of them and their everyday lives. Moving forward, I think it’s
imperative to support and empower these individuals so that they can recognise their own strengths
and abilities. I also have a great understanding that physical disabilities or impairments can have a
tremendous impact on one’s mental health, which in turn, can greatly impact the lives of these children.

Providing a safe & nurturing environment for children that is engaging, stimulating & fun.
I like to work on children’s development through a number of fun filled activities.
Ideally lots of outdoor activities. I am confident in the water & love to swim! I am very creative & love doing arts & crafts with the children I previously nannied for. Love an outdoor teddy bears picnic or a fairy garden crafting day.
