A nanny plays a big role in a child’s early development, so being reliable, consistent, and compassionate is essential. For me, the heart of this role is not only caring for children but also helping them feel confident, happy, and loved every day.

My experience with special needs children...

While most of my caregiving has focused on infants and young children, I also gained transferable skills from caring for an elderly, bedridden client. This experience taught me patience, empathy, and how to adapt care based on individual needs. Although I have not yet worked directly with special needs children, I am trained in caregiving, first aid, and CPR, and I am confident in my ability to provide safe, attentive, and compassionate care. I am eager to learn and to support children with special needs by applying my skills, following professional guidance, and working closely with parents to ensure the best possible care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when the 5-year-old boy I care for in Dubai ran to me after learning to write his name and proudly said, “I did it because you taught me.” Seeing his excitement and knowing I played a part in his growth made me realize how meaningful my role is. Another special memory was soothing the baby to sleep for the first time—when he finally relaxed in my arms, I felt the deep trust children place in their caregivers.
