A little bit about me

Hello! I'm a dependable, patient, and nurturing childcare provider with extensive experience working with children and families. My background includes nearly six years with FSU's Autism Institute, supporting families of young children with developmental delays, communication challenges, and autism-related concerns. I currently work in an inclusive after-school program with children ages 5–11, including children with autism, ADHD, and diverse learning needs.

I'm also a former foster parent with childcare experience in home, church, and educational settings. I've completed my DCF childcare training, CPR certification, and Level 2 background screening. I'm continuing my education in early childhood development.

I enjoy creative activities, reading, educational games, and helping children build confidence and independence. I provide safe, attentive, compassionate care and value open communication with parents. I'm available for evening, and weekend childcare. References available!

I previously worked with FSU's Autism Institute, supporting families with young children experiencing communication and developmental delays.

I served as a foster parent in Kentucky and Florida and currently volunteer as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters. I've also provided ongoing care for my godson since he was three years old (now ten), along with caring for children of family and friends. My experience includes church childcare, in-home care, and supporting children's educational, social, emotional, and developmental growth.

These experiences have strengthened my patience, adaptability, communication skills, and ability to provide a safe, nurturing, structured environment for children of different ages and abilities.

I love engaging children in fun, hands-on activities that encourage learning, creativity, and independence. I especially enjoy outdoor play, including old-school games like hopscotch, four square, and sidewalk chalk. I also enjoy arts and crafts, drawing, building, reading, and educational games. Whether it's helping a baby take their first steps, teaching ABCs, or practicing writing, I love watching children learn and grow. I believe in following each child's interests, encouraging curiosity, and making everyday experiences fun and educational. I enjoy keeping children active, engaged, and exploring the world around them in age-appropriate, safe ways.
