More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have a bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Sciences along with a minor in Education.
I started in childcare by volunteering for The Boys and Girls Club of Columbus. Then I taught as a sub. in a few different school districts for the [phone number hidden] school year until COVID hit. After this, I've been babysitting/nannying for a few different families over the course of covid. During the [phone number hidden] school year, I was a paraprofessional. Now I'm a sub teacher and had a long term sub position in 1st grade at an elementary school in Upper Arlington this school year.

I enjoy building connections with the students, kids, and families I work with. Watching the students and kids I work with grow in front of my eyes is very rewarding to me. Working in teaching and childcare positions has been my passion for the last 9 years and will be for many more years!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Board games, card games, talking about their interests such as Minecraft, pokemon, school activities and projects to name a few.
I'm big into getting the kids outdoors when possible to go to the pool, metro parks, to play sports and get some time with their friends when possible.
I am also okay with watching a movie, although would of course prefer to push towards educational/outdoor activities.

Overall, I'm okay with anything!

I worked as a special education aide with kids that had various disabilities during the [phone number hidden] school year as a full time job.
I've also worked with many kids in their schools during the school year as their classroom teacher, an intervention specialist and special education aide.
