More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked over the summer as a Camp Counselor at The Long Island Aquarium. I provided care for up to 23 kids at a time. Created games, educational activities as well as crafts for various age groups. From 5 year olds to 16 year olds!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing outside and playing sports with children. I love to swim and go for walks. I love watching movies, playing video games and helping children to learn a recipe! I can do many activities, inside or outside and I am always open to learning a new child and what they prefer to do.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part of being a nanny is becoming a role model to the children. Providing care to them in the best way possible while knowing that they are most likely going to look up to me and try to follow my lead.

My experience with special needs children...

My mom was a Special Education Teachers Aide. I grew up around Special Needs children. I currently work with a teenage boy who has Autism as well! I know many different things about Autism, it’s a spectrum!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The family I used work for, I started working with them in January 2020. I loved watching the kids become more open with me and learn to love and trust me not just as their babysitter, but as a part of their everyday lives. The six year old boy had become obsessed with having me help him brush his hair for school. Each day, I didn't even need to remind him anymore, he just came rushing to me holding the hairbrush. It made me smile every time.
