A little bit about me

I am a mom of 3 kids and have been married for 28 years. My children are in high school and college. I am super close to them. I love being a mom! I have a 4 year college degree in business. I ran my own business for over 20 years, which was only 5 minutes from my house so I was able to be very involved in my kids school and activities. I assisted the kindergarten teacher and was always a room mom. I am energetic and I adore kids! I am a little silly and a lot of fun. My house was always the house where all the neighbor kids hung out. I like to cook and clean. I am very organized. I will care for other kids as if they were my own. This is on my bucket list to be a caregiver to beautiful children and I will be the best at the job! I do not have professional experience as a nanny or family assistant, but what better experience is there really as being co- manager of my home with my husband and being a busy loving and caring mom!😊

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a volunteer in my children’s schools. I assisted the my daughter’s kindergarten teacher 2-3 mornings a week. I was also a room mom for all 3 of my kids and I volunteered for every field trip. We went to a lot of museums, plays, nature preserves, pumpkin patches...😊

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to play games, do crafts, have tea parties, make cookies... I took my kids outside everyday to play either in the park or my yard. I like fun! We will play kickball, soccer, ride bikes, go the splashpads and pools in the summer (if we can get a vaccine for covid). My son was very active and still is. The pediatrician told me to make sure that he is outside everyday, even if it’s just running up and down the driveway. My neighbor had 3 boys and she would say “ all of my 3 boys combined do not have the energy that your son has.” At the end of second grade, my son was diagnosed with ADHD. I believe that it is important that all kids play outside on a regular basis.🤾‍♂️🏸😜

The most important part about being a nanny...

I want to give these kids a loving, nurturing environment. It actually brings a tear to my eye, just thinking about this. I will always do the best for the family. I was so blessed to have such a wonderful family growing up and I spread these same blessings to my own family and I want your family to be blessed by my care.

My experience with special needs children...

My only experience is with my children. My daughter was diagnosed with selective mutism at the age of 4. So from that day on, we had appointments with psychiatrists and had many therapy sessions. Due to all of these years of appointments and finding the correct medications, she learned all of the techniques to overcome this disability. She is now in college and will soon graduate with a bachelor of science in nursing❤️. My son was diagnosed with ADHD in second grade. He also sees a psychiatrist on a regular basis. He is also doing well. I thank God for good doctors!

The most important part about being a nanny...

A few of my favorite mom moments were taking my kids to their ballet classes, music lessons, and sporting events. It may seem mundane, but I cherish these times. My son was 5 years old playing soccer for the park district, the ice cream truck would come to the park and he would run to the truck, in the middle of the game. The coach would say, “ I hope that ice cream truck does not come to the park today.” We also loved riding our bikes to the big baseball field with its big lights, but I think it was actually the concession stand and the swings that my kids liked the most.
