Hello! My name is Sy, I'm 19, and I'm currently looking for nanny jobs in my area! I absolutely love caring for children, and children always seem to love me, too! I am very patient and can get along with and take care of children from any age range. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have babysat for a lot of families in the past- since I was 13, actually. My father also works as a teacher, so I used to help him out on days that I didn't have school or work!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love accommodating to what children enjoy doing, especially if it's something educational. For younger children, I enjoy incorporating learning something new or refreshing already learned knowledge through playtime: colors, shapes, letters, words, etc., For older children past that age, I will absolutely help out with their homework and use playtime as a reward after they complete their homework. I enjoy encouraging kids to embrace their hobbies and creative sides with me- I'll even join in on the fun, too! The absolute last thing I enjoy doing is sitting a kid in front of a TV and encouraging them to use that as a time-passer unless specifically mentioned by the child's parent(s).

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe that, when it comes to the child or children I am caring for, their happiness and well-being always comes first. It is my responsibility as a caregiver to ensure that any child under my care feels safe, comfortable, and happy, which means it is my responsibility to pay attention to what the child or children are expressing to me.

My experience with special needs children...

Although I have not personally worked with any children with special needs, I am very openly willing to help out in any way I can with any child. Every child deserves love and the ability to surround themselves with people that love them and will care for them in the way that they need, and I would be more than happy to assist in that care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I used to babysit for a family with a 3 year old son for about 7 months before they moved to a different state. I remember his mother telling me that every day he knew I would be there to babysit him, he would constantly ask her when exactly I was showing up on that day and would greet me with the biggest smile and hug when I did arrive to help out. He was a ray of sunshine, and I loved hearing him talk about his exhibitions as a pirate or that one time he became a ninja for a heist. Truly a child with a heart full of happiness.
