I have been babysitting since I was about 12 years old. I have worked in my church's nursery, at VBS, and summer camp. I have experience caring for children with special needs. I volunteered with my school's after school care program in the 3 and 4 year old class for several months. Last summer, I worked as a kids counselor at Lifetime Fitness, caring for kids ages 5-10. I have a lot of experience caring for babies, including newborns, as well as caring for lots of children at once.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to do anything that keeps kids active and creative! I worked at a summer camp last year, so I have lots of ideas for engaging games, crafts, and fun activities to keep kids entertained. I love going for walks, biking, swimming, and sports! I enjoy making crafts with the kids, baking, reading, building, anything creative and fun!
My experience with special needs children...
My church used to have a respite ministry, where we would care for children with special needs one night a month while their parents got a night out. On these nights, I would either be paired with a special needs child or their siblings and spend time with them one on one. I also worked with several austitic children at my job last summer.
