I’m currently in school online for nursing and hope to become a teacher one day, especially for early childhood. I believe those early years are so important in shaping a child’s growth and confidence. I recently moved to North Carolina from Florida and am looking for a family I can support and grow with. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Yes, I do! My best friend’s daughter had a feeding tube for the first two years of her life, and I often helped care for her while I was a stay-at-home mom. I also have experience with children on the autism spectrum—my ex-husband’s younger brother is on the spectrum, and I’ve spent a lot of time helping care for him. My nephew may also be on the spectrum, so I’m familiar with different behaviors and approaches to communication and care.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing things that I know kids truly enjoy, but I also like to sneak in learning along the way! I’m big on routines that mix fun with a little structure, like reading before bed or adding simple educational games into playtime. I enjoy reading stories, going to the park, dancing, doing crafts, and finding fun ways to make learning part of the day. I also love outings like going to the movies or out for lunch or dinner, especially when there are deals, it becomes a fun little tradition that kids look forward to!

The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and dependable environment for both the child and the parents. It’s about being someone they can trust, someone who not only cares for their child but supports their family’s routine, values, and peace of mind.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I’ve never officially worked as a nanny, but I’ve always helped friends and family whenever I could. My favorite part of those moments is seeing the kids happy, getting along, and just enjoying themselves. It feels good knowing I could give parents a break, especially during that tough transition of going back to work and needing someone they trust. I’ve always done it out of love, but now I’m excited to turn something I’ve always enjoyed into a job.
