A little bit about me

I enjoy exploring the world with children. It is fascinating to observe how a child develops their sense of self through everyday activities such as playing at the park with their peers, drawing a picture, building a Lego castle, observing nature, or just reading a book.
I raised 5 kids, 3 of my own and 2 step kids. Before having my own kids, I spent my teen years babysitting all my neighbor’s kids. My sister and I were in high demand because we were good at keeping the kids busy and safe.

I like getting to the kids level and trying to understand what they are trying to communicate and do.

I grew up in Japan so a lot of my babysitting skills come from Japanese philosophy such as not using the word “No” so much. Also, trying to teach a child kindness to pets and other children.
