More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Relevant experience includes providing comprehensive care for children across a wide range of ages and abilities. I currently work as a Lead Teacher with children ages 6 weeks to 18 months and have held a lead teaching role for over seven years. In addition, I have experience working with children ages 5–12 with disabilities, as well as adults with learning disabilities. Altogether, I bring over 10 years of professional experience in caregiving and education, with a strong background in inclusive, supportive, and developmentally appropriate care.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

As a teacher, I enjoy engaging children in activities that support their overall development and curiosity. I particularly enjoy hands-on learning experiences such as sensory play, art activities, music and movement, and age-appropriate practical life skills. I also value reading, language-rich interactions, and outdoor exploration, as these activities encourage communication, independence, and social-emotional growth while making learning meaningful and enjoyable for children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a teacher to me is building trust and creating a safe, nurturing environment where every child feels seen and valued. When children feel secure, they are more willing to explore, learn, and take developmental risks. Knowing that I can be a consistent, supportive presence during such an important stage of their growth is why teaching is so meaningful to me.

My experience with special needs children...

I have professional experience working with children on the autism spectrum, providing consistent and individualized care over a two-year period. During this time, I supported their developmental, behavioral, and communication needs through structured routines, patience, and responsive, child-centered practices.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite teacher moments was working closely with a toddler who had significant difficulty with communication and transitions. After weeks of consistency, visual supports, and one-on-one encouragement, the child independently used a sign to ask for help during a classroom activity. It was a powerful moment because it showed growth not only in communication, but also in confidence and trust. That experience reminded me why I love teaching—small breakthroughs can make a lifelong impact.
