I am a happily married mother of two girls and grammy to two boys! I am looking to help with part time childcare, elderly care, house or petsitting, or assistant work. I am pretty flexible. I am very honest, loving, respectful, trustworthy, giving, sweet, patient, person that loves helping families with whatever their needs may be. I will help with your children, pets, homes, senior care, traveling with the family on vacation, yard care, help with organizing, cleaning, in home massages (STRICTLY professional), running errands, assisting with parties, etc.! I love children and animals! I enjoy taking children to the movies, skating, bike riding, playing ball, hide-n-seek, reading to them, especially watching Disney movies with the little ones, doing nature walks, etc.!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have kept family members, children of my friends, and when I built a house in my mid 30’s I had a pool and almost everyday there were kids and teenagers at my house from our neighborhood and some from the neighborhood behind me! Also, my youngest girl quite frequently had a friend/friends eating supper and spending the night with us or I would take them on trips to Busch Gardens and their water park, Kings Dominion, museums, to the mountains on vacation, to the movies, out to eat, and I have babysat my grandson’s stepbrothers when they were young and in the last few years I’ve taken them with us on vacation to BG and KD, out to eat, the movies, etc!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Reading, playing board games, hide-n-seek, nature walks, bike riding, going to the movies, skating, theme parks, watching animated or regular tv shows and movies at home, playing in the pool or at the beach, singing, swinging, playing ball, taking the older ones shopping, ball games, or whatever THEY enjoy doing! I’m up for anything!!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Keeping a child SAFE, happy, feeling loved and secure, comfortable, and making them laugh and doing whatever I need to do with them, and for them, to have them ask for me to come back!

My experience with special needs children...

I have been around my friend’s child ever since she was born. She has a chromosome 17 duplication. She is 22 now but has the mindset of about a 12 year old. She is smart, funny, loving, beautiful, and we always laugh whenever I’m around her! She calls me aunt Tammy even though there is no kinship. I love her very much and I am one of a VERY few people that she has ever felt comfortable enough to be away from her mom overnight!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I started keeping a little girl when she was four yrs old until she was seven or eight yrs old. Even after we moved 60 miles away she would still come over some during summer vacation until she was 15 yrs old. My husband use to tease her and call her a little boy when we first started keeping her and she would always say “I’m a grale uncle Mikie” instead of saying girl! She did that for several years. We still talk about that to this day! I know it’s simple, but it’s a precious memory I’ll always have! We loved swimming in our pool but she didn’t want to wear her arm floaties because she could swim like a fish but I ALWAYS would make her put them on anyway! I would tell her “You ain’t gonna drone on my watch!!!” She’s 21 now!
