Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing arts and crafts! I was an art teacher for a city adaptive program and I loved creating new ways for them to express themselves. I also love any outdoor sports. I was a sports specialist through the city as well so I know almost every sport from a player perspective down to a referee!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I love giving kids life lessons that they can take for the rest of their lives. As a nanny, I never want to assume the role of the parent, but rather a role model that they can reference in times of need when they feel another outlet isn't sufficient. I treat every kid that is in my care as family, I will care for them and their families as I would my own and thats with everything.
My experience with special needs children...
I was an Adaptive program aide and coach. I also volunteer every year with children that have cancers and blood disorders! My experience with special needs children is quite vast, anywhere from autism, down syndrome, physical impairments, etc. I've also been trained for seizures. As a medically intensive individual myself, I am also proficient in aiding with that scope of care as well!

It was a disability retirement because I was in a horrible car accident that left me paralysed on the left side. I have fully healed with a little bit of neuropathy, however working with children always brings me joy.
My Son recently made me a grandmother which is the greatest addition to my life ever. Also, they live in Virginia. I try to go and see my granddaughter at least once a year for a week if the time works.
