More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I previously worked for a family with 2 young boys for 4 years. The mother was a single mom who worked many hours. I would some house work (laundry, grocery shopping, dinner, cleaning, and dog walking, ect) in addition to picking the boys up from daycare/ school and keeping them fed and entertained until bedtime before mom arrived home. I love the outdoors so we spent a lot of time learning sports and games. I also worked in home for a disable young lady for about 2 years. 16 years of age. I would arrive very early and get her fed through her G-Tube and dresses and ready for school. She had very limited mobility so I would be responsible for most of everything in regards to her morning routine. Once she was out of school for the day I would bring her back to the house and do her afternoon G-Tube feed. Then I would shower her and wait for her family to arrive home. Both families became like family to me. When you love what you do it shows through your work.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Finding a good family fit and ensuring the safety of the child(ren) at all times.
My experience with special needs children...

Once she was out of school for the day I would bring her back to the house and do her afternoon G-Tube feed. Then I would shower her and wait for her family to arrive home. Even though she couldn’t verbally communicate, her and I developed a very special relationship and we would brighten each others mornings and be so excited to see each other.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When children finally conquer their fear of the pool and jump in. Proud nanny moment.
