I love going to the park to play, color, draw, play with bubbles, go on walks, board games, playing dress up, depending on their age we can learn some basic foods to make together or make slime, scavenger hunts, and rock painting!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Allowing the kids to have a good time and have fun when parents need a break and having a good enough connection with them and the families so that they're happy to see me. Being able to handle difficult situations and letting the kids know i understand that they feel emotions harder and do my best to make them feel better no matter what. Being patient is super important because sometimes kids can be tricky and thats the truth theyre not always going to agree with you and thats okay, you just need to come down to an agreement with eachother.
My experience with special needs children...
Only slight experience! Ive done peer aiding in highschool and middle school for 2 separate years which allows us to connect with those who opperate differently than us and help us learn to understand them and their boundaries!
