A little bit about me

I am 27 years old, and have a love for caring for children. I have specialized experience with younger children from the ages 12 to as young as newborn. Since I was a young girl I have tended to children. I've worked as a date night baby sitter for many years after turning 10, a weekly nanny for many families, and a childcare worker in a church for several years. Becoming the favorite 5 year old classroom teacher that even social needs children parents would request to care for their children. I enjoy the time I spend learning the importance of caring for children during their growing experiences. I would truly be honored to step into more children's lives to be a positive addition to their life experience. As far as sAfety, I have gone to school to be an EMT and have background skills that could save a life in major situations. I pride myself in knowing how to care for the safety and well being ofd others. Until I have children of my own its my pleasure to care for those already here.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a childcare teacher for many age groups for Manna Church, I also baby sat for many years, and was an assistant daycare teacher for a year and half while in high school.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy creative activities as well as academic type learning experiences. I enjoy watching children discover themselves in the most positive way so question and answer time is a great way to learn about the kids as well and I truly enjoy the answers you get sometimes. Haha! Im an outdoor type as well as indoor fun type so it doesn't matter the weather there's always room for a great day. I just enjoy finding ways to make it one I guess!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The safety of everyone first and foremost, but I would also say the influence you bring to the children that they will have for the rest of their life. I find children time to be precious moments that will never be returned but in memories and I cherish the thought of being an influencer and care giver during those moments.

My experience with special needs children...

I have watched many special needs children since I was young. I have a patience that I take pride in that helps me work with our specially gifted children. I couldn't see the world without their light they bring. So I have learned that each child is different and tending to them is specific to their needs and I learn fast.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I had a sweetie named Alex who was maybe about 5 at the time. We were having coloring time at his house with his brother Joshua and sister Natasha. I was their babysitter. Alex was picking his color crayons when he shouted, " OH! This is my favorite color!" I asked him what color is that, knowing it was Turquoise a favorite of mine as well. He responded with all seriousness in his voice, " Duh Miss Tashi it's 'Tourguys' !" From that day on the word Turquoise gave me a laugh because Alex tried his very best to say a difficult word and it was the cutest thing to me.
