More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Although I haven’t had formal nanny experience, I have years of hands-on childcare helping my family. I’ve helped my grandmother with my five younger cousins, organizing games, arts and crafts, storytime, and outdoor activities to keep them engaged and learning. I’ve also cared for my sister, who has special needs, assisting with feeding, diaper changes, playtime, and providing extra support to help her thrive. In addition, I have volunteered with children through Warner School’s special needs department, gaining experience supporting and connecting with kids with diverse needs. Through these experiences, I’ve developed patience, responsibility, and a genuine love for working with children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Board games, video games, coloring, drawing, learning activity games, painting, outside activities like the park or going on a walk puzzles, dancing, baking together or cooking story times and movie nights , tummy time!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is the memories to me I really want to create a space where they can come to me not only about fun moments but sad moments as well and building a bond with the kids/kid I don't wanna just be looked as the nanny but more of someone who really cares.
My experience with special needs children...
My sister just turned five in June and she has autism also two of my cousins in my family that I've babysat for also has autism so I've been dealing with their needs quite early before my sister arrived I understand her unique needs and routines, including stimming behaviors like rocking, hand movements, or vocalizations, and I support her by letting her engage in these behaviors without interruption. I also accommodate her sensitivities, such as covering her ears when she’s upset by loud noises, and I help with her specific dietary preferences, like ensuring she has milk and foods with textures she’s comfortable with. Through this, I’ve learned patience, observation, and how to create a calm and supportive environment tailored to a child’s individual needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One time when I was babysitting all my cousins by myself (5) we were playing hide and seek and when it was my turn to be the seeker I found my youngest cousin first and she pleaded with me to act like I didn't and said I'll give you a dollar when my tooth comes out it's loose the tooth fairy will spare us I found that so funny I don't know but I said deal and kept seeking.
