Hello! I am Tatumn, I'm a 19-year-old female student who is currently studying in Early Childhood Education. I will have my associates in early education by the end of June. I love working with kids and have 3 years of experience in an after-school program that includes entertaining, lesson planning, and preparing fun activities. I also have certification in CPR and First Aid, as well as a lot of other basic training. I am also a registered District sub in the Salem-Keizer School District. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked in a teacher position in an after-school child care program for over three years. So I have age experience from 5-11 years old, I have to lesson plan and come up with new activities daily! Also, I am CPR and First Aid certified and have a few other basic trainings! I also am a registred district substitute teacher in the salem keizer school district.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like to paint and do unique craft projects with kiddos, like making playdough with natural dyes. Also, I like to do basketball and soccer, using chalk outside, or any pretend play they want to do! I believe that children should be outside as much as possible, so lots of outside play will happen too!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing to me is that the kids are safe while having fun. I want to help them learn and grow by constantly teaching them new ways to look at activities or the outside time!

My experience with special needs children...

I have a bit of experience with non-verbal kiddos who are also escape artists when working in an after-school program. I also have taken a special needs inclusion college class that focused on Special needs kiddos and how we can help them and include them in activities with other students.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment was when I made "Mud paint" with the children; they got to mix mud, food dyes, and soap to then paint on watercolor paper. They then got to use sticks and leaves to make natural paint brushes and to experiment with the textures to see how it would work on paper.
They loved that they could use mud to create something!
