More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
In 2012, I taught as a Drama teacher at a S.T.E.A.M elementary after school program in Detroit for 4 months before school ended!
I enjoyed inspiring my young, budding thespians! I designed specific activities that stretched their imagination, grew their confidence, and begin to shape and sharpen their listening skills. It is amazing seeing different lessons children take away doing the smallest of tasks and experiences.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Indoor & outdoor activities! - I love making window displays, small painted crafts such as: Making butterflies out of coffee filters, clothes spin. Markers and a spray bottle of water. I enjoy teaching children Phonics and how to read and blend words. There a few tried and true activities/ games I do
For infants: Safe water play tummy time and cool black/white books as well Dr. Suess
Outdoor activities: Counting and matching games, “I Spy” games that help with listening and observation skills. Freeze tag is always fun, right with my older toddlers!

The most important part about being a nanny...
Watching the children grow like beanstalks in front of your eyes! And seeing the positive impact of light you’ve had on their life. Watching children reach personal goals and growth milestones is so heart warming.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One time, I was picking my sweet boy up from daycare, after me being out of work for a few days...The level of sheer excitement and relief that came across his face as soon as he saw me come in the door? It really let me see inside of his heart- he really loves me. He said "Tayyer I miss you."
That small moment made my heart swell. You know...it's easy to get caught up in the day to day with kids, but when they verbally express that they missed your presence? That sentiment hit differently. ❤️
