Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Activities that I personally enjoy doing with my kids is crafting, baking and movies. Other things I enjoy are museums, parks and singing. I like to tailor my activities to my child interest, and go from there. I constantly like to be busy so trust me I’ll find something.
The most important part about being a nanny...
After being a full-time nanny for almost a year now. I believe the most important part is to remind the child that it’s okay to just be a kid. As a nanny, I have witnessed children being so used to their loved ones leaving them that they’re almost like little adults. They learn early on how to provide for themselves and know what to tell the new people that pop in how to take care them. It saddens me. When all they should be worrying about being a kid.
My experience with special needs children...
As I come from a home where my own sibling has special needs I am very fluent in caring for any individual that needs special tailored caring. I have experience with verbal and nonverbal. As long as you are vocal on the child’s needs and set schedule, Down to the little things like for example my brother needs his sandwich cut vertically, not Horizontally. I will be able to provide any and all care to my best ability.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is when it honestly feels less like a job and more like I’m just having fun. For example, I used to be a professional, Makeup Artist and my clients asked me to do there 13 yr old daughters make up for her dance pictures. The people they hired never showed up. I did her make up and she was dancing around the house taking pictures and it honestly mixed both my two favorite things beauty and childcare into one. It also was a nice bonding moment as the individual was homeschooled and she doesn’t really get to experience sleepovers or just hang out with the girls that closely in age.
