Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes babysitting infants and toddlers for multiple families over the past several years, as well as helping care for my two younger siblings. I have also done volunteer hours at the local church, where I've watched all age ranges! Through these experiences, I’ve become very comfortable with feeding, naps, playtime, diaper changes, bedtime routines, and creating a safe, positive environment for kids. I’m very patient and responsible and love building genuine connections with both children and parents.

Activities I enjoy doing with children include going on walks, spending time outside, playing games, reading, and finding simple ways to keep them engaged. With younger kids, I also enjoy helping with routines, sensory play, and creating a calm environment. I’ve taken HDFS (Human Development and Family Studies) classes in college, which have given me a better understanding of child development, different types of play, and the importance of creating engaging environments that support learning and growth at different ages.

While most of my experience has been with infants and younger children, I always approach every child with patience, understanding, and adaptability. I have experience working with children with special needs through a co taught gym class in high school, where I worked alongside students. In addition, I gained experience through shadowing at Respite Care in Fort Collins.
