Hello! I have two decades of child care experience as well as a bachelor’s of science in psychology. I have been a preschool teacher, a nanny and a mom. I love working with children and their families. In order for a position to work, my 3 year old son will need to accompany me. I enjoy doing arts and crafts with kids, building villages with just about anything, reading books, playing games, doing puzzles and going outside.

The most important part about being a nanny...

For me, the most important tasks for a nanny are providing a safe and nurturing environment for the kids in my care. I want the parents to rest easy, knowing their children are in caring and capable hands.

My experience with special needs children...

As a preschool teacher, I frequently had kids with special needs in my classes. As a nanny, I have worked with 2 families who had children with autism and 1 family who had a child who had a heart condition that effected his immunity and speech development.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Oh my! So many! The first memory that comes to mind involved taking the 2 kids in my care to a beach. They were playing in the water while I supervised and I suddenly had this deep sense that we were having an absolutely perfect day and I had no desire to be anywhere else.

One night, I was at home when my boss at the time texted me a video. It was of the 2 year old that I cared for and who was up waaayyyy too late. In the video he is teaching his mom how to do “wild breaths.” When his mom asked who had taught him how to do that, he answered “Teresa taught me it.” Indeed, I had taught him the breathing exercise earlier that week.
