Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing arts and crafts, reading books and doing experiments! For some outside things to do there's nothing better then going to the park to play and have a picnic! Swimming is also a fun outside activity!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Honestly there are so many important parts of being a nanny. A nanny needs to be trustworthy and caring, having patience and taking the time to get to know each child for their own unique personalities. Leaving a child in the care of someone they have recently just met I could only imagine would be very difficult. I do not have children but I've cared for children and adults for many years. I treat everyone I care for as family!
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for teenage children that are of higher function. I have also care for individuals 21+ that are more physically impared at Prime Home DDS, where I currently work.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite Nanny moments was when I was in the kitchen making dinner and one of the kids was just learning to use the big boy toilet. I was in the kitchen mashing the potatoes and he comes running out saying I pooped on the big boy potty!!I pooped on the big boy potty!! Still with toilet paper hanging from his butt. I laughed so hard and said good job but why didnt you ask for help and he said cause im a big boy now!! Needless to say we proceeded back to the bathroom to finish up the cleanup. That's a day I will never forget!!
