Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked in a preschool / daycare for 8+ years. I was a private nanny for 3 different families, with children ranging from newborn-5 years old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I do not like for the children to have screen time- no electronics or mindless tv watching. I prefer to engage with the children directly through crafts, educational activities, singing and dancing, playing outside when the weather is permitting, instruments, or baking/cooking.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters the most to me is providing a safe space for the children and having an endless amount of patience. Allowing the children to express themselves freely and giving them a voice to be heard. And of course, making sure they are having fun !

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment in all of my years working with children/being a private nanny, is finally reaching that break through moment with the child. When you figure out what works for each child and how to ease them when they’re anxious or when they’re scared. Being able to be a safe figure to the children is my favorite thing overall!
